Preparation and Ingredients

These ingredients of crafts for toddlers project will yield 16 pieces of cookies that taste sweet and delicious. You will need to prepare 1 cup walnuts, 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar, Salt, 2 sticks unsalted butter, 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting, and 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. You will need toasted walnuts and the butter should be in room temperature. Do not forget to prepare food-safe plastic insects to make imprints on the cookies. They could be found easily in stores that sell kitchen utensils.

Directions

Start this crafts for toddlers process by preheating oven to 325 degrees. Use a food processor to grind walnuts until finely ground. Put them into a bowl with flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Whisk them together. Grab a mixer and beat sugar, butter, and vanilla on high speed until it turn fluffy and pale. Lower the speed to low. Beat in walnut mixture gradually into the mixer until it turns into big dough ball. Divide the dough into eighteen balls of 1 1/2-inch, and press them into irregular stone shapes with your hand palm.
